In modern laboratories there are technicians working away and they will rely on vital items of equipment like an Autoclave. This term might not be familiar to most people but it will be definitely be familiar to anyone that works in a laboratory environment. Basically an Autoclave is a pressurised device that can sterilise all manner of equipment.

By removing trapped air the unit can successfully sterilise anything that is placed into it. Simple ranges of autoclaves include stovetops that have screw-down lids but more advanced types of units are working away in state-of-the-art labs. All you have to do is to take a look at some of the features on these units and you’ll see why they are so highly regarded by lab workers.

Busy labs can make use of twin chamber units that will easily cater for a vast amount of equipment. There are electrically heated versions of the Autoclave and units that utilise a pipe steam source. Cooling the equipment down afterwards is an accelerated fan and there’s a waste discard system built in as standard. This all makes for quite an impressive piece of technically proficient kit that any busy laboratory would be proud to own.
